RE: Annual Faculty Survey: Opportunities for University-level Service and Participation in Shared Governance
Your participation on faculty committees helps to protect and improve the quality of this University and the rights of your faculty colleagues. Your voice is needed as we deal with a rapidly changing landscape in teaching, research, information technology, and in the level and form of funding that supports our activities.
Each year the UA Nominating Committee conducts a brief faculty survey that gives each of you the opportunity to indicate your interest in faculty service. The survey results are used to identify faculty to nominate for various General Faculty Standing Committees or for service on a variety of other committees as needed.
The survey is available at this link:

Descriptions of each committee are also included to help you make your choices.
University of Arizona administrators and faculty leaders are committed to shared governance. We believe that faculty participation is essential to maintaining sound academic programs, promoting research that significantly advances the mission of the University, recruiting and retaining a distinguished faculty, cultivating institutional diversity, and preserving academic freedom.
