General Faculty Spring 2016 Primary Election
NOMINATION PHASE

The General Faculty Primary Election will take place in February. Now is the time when candidates must get their nominating petitions 

Many of the top positions in faculty governance will be decided in this election, including Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary of the Faculty. Shared governance is a very important part of what makes the UA special. We have a say in what happens here. But this influence completely depends upon the faculty – us – stepping up and participating at all levels of the governance structure. It is critical that we continue to develop a cadre of faculty willing to spend some of their time at the UA sharing in university governance.

We urge all of you to think about running for one of the open positions. We further urge all of you to pay attention to this process – it matters who represents you at the table with the President and Provost, and in the Task Forces and Working Groups that are hashing out the future of the UA. Participate, and vote.

All petitions and bio statements for this election need to be delivered to the Faculty Center at 1216 E Mabel, no later than 5:00 PM MST on February 5, 2016. Please click on the link below for more information.
