We did not receive as many petitions as we had seats for Faculty Senate College Representatives. We still have 1 seat for the Eller College of Management, 1 seat for the College of Public Health, 2 seats for the College of Science, and 2 seats for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. There are also two seats available on the Committee on Committees for which no petitions were received.

We made every attempt to fill these vacancies with the General Election. Filling the remaining seats will be undertaken in accordance with the Faculty Governance Bylaws, Article VIII, Section 2, e, ii.), which reads: “If vacancies occur because there were not enough candidates from a given constituency in an election, the Chair of the Faculty and the Vice Chair shall seek appropriate faculty members from that constituency who are willing to serve, and present these candidates to the Senate Executive Committee for approval, to fill those vacancies.”

We respectfully thank our colleagues for their interest and participation. Thank you again for your involvement in shared governance.
