NOTICE OF GENERAL FACULTY SPECIAL ELECTION

FALL 2015

Nominating petitions for one Faculty Senate at-Large Representative replacement will be available from the Faculty Center (621-1342) or online at the Faculty Governance website, (click on Nominating Instructions and Petitions) beginning on Monday, October 26, 2015 continuing through Friday, November 13, 2015. The term is for January 2016 through May 2017, as Senator Ayoun will be on Sabbatical.

Voting members of the General Faculty may nominate themselves.

All petitions must be returned to the Faculty Center, 1216 E. Mabel St. (PO Box 210456), by Friday, November 13, 2015.

The Nominating Instructions indicate the number of signatures (20) required.  Nominees are requested to provide a paragraph of 150 words or less, to be used for publicity purposes and for the ballot, describing their reason(s) for becoming a candidate this particular year, or the issues in faculty governance in which they are (or continue to be) interested, or any statement which they feel best describes their candidacy.  The descriptive paragraphs (150 words or less) are also due no later than November 13, 2015. The bio-statements should be sent electronically to facultycenter@email.arizona.edu
